Some of my fondest and most inspiring times came in these spaces. Being open to a new medium of art that was exclusive to a setting, a place, a place that held the spirit of so many before me within it's lines and etchings. Illegal and a nuisance, maybe, but on the deeper level it is just pure creativity and intrigue. The eeriness, the wonder, the stories that you imagine playing out within the empty, derelict walls. A time that is gone, but has been replaced with a new story. A story that is constantly evolving with time. Walking inside is like walking into a time capsule. Repulsed by the muck, spooked by the danger, exited by the mystery. Here are a few of my favourite photos from a few different occasions back in 2016.
My first time painting a wall, 2016.
